Overview

Kitsissut Avalliit (Ydre Kitsissut). 27/01/88; Qaqortoq; 4,470 ha; 60°45'N 048°25'W. A group of thinly vegetated rocky islands 10km off the southwestern coast, several of which are submerged during spring tides. The area is important for breeding various species of sea birds, including internationally important numbers of Brünnich's guillemots and common guillemots. Ramsar site no. 388.
