Overview

Dongzhaigang. 31/03/92; Hainan; 5,400 ha; 19°59'N 110°35'E. Nature Reserve. Small shallow sea bay of extensive intertidal mudflats and mangrove swamps. The swamps are important feeding and nursery areas for waterbirds and fish. The site is located in a densely populated region, surrounded by numerous villages and large rice paddies.
