Overview

Albufera de Adra. 04/10/94; Andalucía; 75 ha; 36°45'N 002°57'W. Natural Reserve. The site, considered to be of national botanical importance, consists of two endorheic lagoons in the Adra River Delta. Vegetation includes reed, rush and sedge beds. The area is a nesting and wintering site for, among others, the globally endangered duck Oxyura leucocephala. Several species of waterbirds winter at the site.
